AHADS-ORGANISATIONAL SETUP
A 31-member State-level High Power Committee (HPC) was constituted with the Hon. Chief Minister as Chairman, the Hon. Minister of Rural Development as Vice-Chairman and the Principal Secretary (RDD) as Member Secretary. The HPC is a policy level body and approves the annual Action Plan, annual budget, financial and audited statement of accounts and approval of staff pattern and service conditions of staff of AHADS.
The control, administration and management of the affairs of the Society vests with the Governing Body constituted vide Article 9 of the Memorandum of Association of the Society. Principal Secretary to Government of Kerala, Local self Government (AHADS) Department, is the Chairman of the Governing Body and the Project Director, who is the Chief Executive officer of the Society, is the Member Secretary of the Governing Body. The Governing Body has 38 members, which include district level officials, Member of Parliament, Palakkad, Member of Legislative Assembly, District Panchayat President, District Panchayat Member, Block Panchayat president and Panchayat Presidents. The Governing Body also include five tribal headmen (three from Irula community, one from Muduga and Kurumba each).
